The baffle helps to achieve correct alignment between the lock and latch, minimising installation issues.

Loose fixing screws – possibly loosened over time/use – maintenance, or:
Incorrect door preparation, and screws left loose to compensate/permit operation of the lock

• Incorrect door preparation
• Lock damaged in heavy/rough use – this is often a result of the product being used in a heavy-use commercial environment, which it is not designed for
• Heavy operation of the external handle on the 530/930 combination sets – this is a consequence of the design of the lock, and should not be specified when difficulty of operation could be an issue. The CML will achieve these functions and maintain ease of operation
