ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Australia is proud to announce the launch of GEN6TX®, the latest evolution to Lockwood’s proven commercial restricted keying platform.
Since its original launch in 2004, the Lockwood Generation 6 keying system has led the entry level commercial restricted keying market with its high level of key control while maintaining low cost by using the standard inline cylinder. GEN6TX® carries on the tradition by increasing physical security on keys and barrels as well as adding renewed legal protection on keys and barrels in the form of patents and design registration.
Brand new legal protections
GEN6TX® launches with a key-stop system on all barrels and keys, which is patent protected in Australia from launch until 2036. Furthermore, GEN6TX® will also launch with renewed key design registration until 2032 in Australia and New Zealand.

As with all Lockwood products, GEN6TX® is built to last. Every single key blank, barrel and cylinder is proudly manufactured right here in Australia to the highest standards and specifications.
Simple, cost-effective key control
GEN6TX® launches with no additional requirements for coding or assembly. All the value and benefits from the legal protections can be achieved without significant further investment to you or the customer. Managing a master keyed system has never been simpler.
With the renewed legal protections in place, GEN6TX® is the latest in Lockwood’s legacy of high-quality and celebrated products, while solidifying its commitment to innovation.
The new key-stop system introduced on GEN6TX® keys is backward compatible with older systems, enabling a smooth transition to the new platform. GEN6TX® barrels will be available with new competitive pricing, and old barrels will still be available long term to support existing systems as required. New attractive key GEN6TX® key inserts will also replace Generation 6 and GEN6T versions on all existing colours.
